Divorce & Dollars Summit Speaker Terms and Conditions

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for participation as a speaker in the Divorce & Dollars Summit, hosted by the Divorce Support Collective. By submitting an application and participating as a speaker, you agree to the following terms:

  1. Presentation Content
Speakers are required to create original presentations that provide actionable insights for co-parents. All content must align with the mission of the Divorce & Dollars Summit. Any external materials, such as data, images, or quotes, included in the presentation must have appropriate citations and permissions.

  2. Presentation Format and Delivery
Speakers agree to submit a pre-recorded 30-minute presentation by May 13th, 2025. Presentations must be high-quality in both audio and video. It is the speaker’s responsibility to ensure their presentation is free of technical issues, such as poor audio quality or insufficient lighting. All edits must be completed by the speaker and only ready-to-use presentations will be submitted.

  3. Promotion and Marketing
As a speaker, you grant the Divorce Support Collective permission to use your name, bio, headshot, and presentation content for promotional purposes related to the event. Additionally, you agree to actively promote the summit, May 5th-26th, by sending at least one solo email to your email list, a P.S. about the event in at least one of your other email communications, and posting about the event on social media a minimum of three times. To assist you, the Divorce Support Collective will provide promotional materials and resources.

  4. Ownership and Rights
You retain ownership of your presentation content. However, by participating in the summit, you grant the Divorce Support Collective the right to use, share, and distribute your presentation as part of the event for promotional and educational purposes. Summit content may also remain available for attendees in replay format for a limited time after the event.

  5. Compensation and Benefits
Participation in the Divorce & Dollars Summit is unpaid. However, speakers will benefit from increased visibility through event marketing and opportunities to connect with a relevant audience. The focus of this summit is to empower and educate co-parents. While you may include a brief call-to-action in your presentation, such as a link to a free resource or your website, as long as it aligns with the event's purpose, you are not allowed to sell in your presentation.

  6. Code of Conduct
All speakers are expected to maintain a professional tone in their presentations and avoid any content that may be deemed inappropriate, discriminatory, or offensive. Explicit sales pitches or promotional content beyond the agreed call-to-action are prohibited.

  7. Deadlines
All required materials, including the pre-recorded presentation, slides, bio, and headshot, must be submitted by May 13th, 2025. Failure to meet these deadlines may result in removal from the speaker lineup.

  8. Cancellation or Changes
The Divorce Support Collective reserves the right to cancel or modify the event or speaker lineup at its discretion. If you need to withdraw from the event, you must provide written notice at least 10 days before the event.

  9. Liability
The Divorce Support Collective is not responsible for any technical issues, delays, or disruptions related to your presentation that are beyond its control.

  10. Agreement
By agreeing to participate as a speaker, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and conditions. You agree to comply with the requirements outlined and fulfill your responsibilities as a speaker.
